Step 1: choose "band" on your course selection sheet
In January, you will receive your course selection sheet for the next school year. Be sure you choose band as your elective. It's okay if you don't choose it right away, we can help you change it later! (6th graders can choose Band, Choir or Theatre/Art).
step 2: attend band tryouts
You are invited to attend our spring band tryouts! (Don't worry, you don't have to prepare anything!)
At tryouts, students will try out each instrument's mouthpiece and full instrument, and get to choose the best one! This is a fun, light-hearted event where you will meet our band staff! After the event, our staff will send your student's instrument selection to the school counselors, who will create your schedule based around the instrument's class.

Don't sweat it! It's never too late to join band and choose an instrument. Send Mr. Nunley an email at nicholes.nunley@midlothianisd.org and he will help you schedule an appointment.
